The new rats for a class I am teaching are super super friendly. The class draws strongly from behaviorism, but I am trying to smuggle enough organismal agency and enactive cognition into it as I can. Just because the behavior can be shaped by reinforcement doesn’t explain why the behavior occurred in the first place!
