Most mornings the last few weeks have awakened to the sound of distant resonant croaking - one or two #ravens patrolling the sky at dawn. Almost never later in the day. My head canon (which might even be true) is that they are taking advantage of early morning quiet to come down from the hills and check out the near suburbs unharassed, before zillions of rambunctious #crows come streaming out of their downtown #Portland night roost to take over the landscape.
