Yes, burning #coal is terrible for carbon emissions, but replacing that by burning wood pellets (#biomass) derived from old trees across the world and shipping them to the UK is not an improvement.

@InfoMgmtExec given the issues of fire and deforestation in many countries I find it infuriating that the forestry industries (and countries) take "carbon credits" for growing trees just to burn it up again. At least use of wood for construction maintains it for a period of time.
I agree. #CarbonCredits are a #scam which #CarbonGrifters take full advantage of. Trees, Plants and other organics once absorbed much of the excess #carbon in the air, but now are saturated and exhaust it, especially when burned. Leaving them to grow is best. Using them as timber is least disruptive, but burning them is #BarkingMad. #GriftersGonnaGrift.
