Bath Nature

This is my other friend, Hedgy (named because he lives in the hedge outside my home). He pops his beak out of the hedge to see me every morning, and I throw him a bit of food. He's moulting at the moment, which is why he looks a bit scruffy. In .

@BathNature Hedgy looks lovely but I still miss Ribin.

@LyndaDelph He is lovely. I miss Ribin every day. I still visit his old territory frequently, in case he comes back.

@BathNature These companions of ours are precious aren't they? You posted about how much the two of you spent time together, chatting, foraging, and eating. And Ribin was the first European Robin I ever learned about via your posts. So I thank you for that.
I currently have a gray catbird couple in my yard. They are very squawky and the fledgling is hilarious.

@LyndaDelph Yes, we spent a lot of time together - nearly every day for 3 years, and he was my best friend. The pandemic was a lonely time for me, but he gave me a reason to get out every day.

@TonyHill Mealworms and sunflower seeds. Although he looks quite big, he just has his feathers fluffed up, he's really quite a skinny bird.

@BathNature Thanks. Around our house there lives a Robin too. He also looks quite small and skinny.

@BathNature
Aww! They are a garden's most precious inhabitants!❤️
(Well, they all are, of course, the rainworms and bumblebees also. But robins are just too cute!🥰)
