This is a breakfast porridge of friendship, because brown rice still needs a bit of a push from something like an immersion blender and I've been using the one I got from my friend when we were in uni and then I mixed in the pickled spicy mustard greens a friend just got from me from their Japan trip (pretty sure it's the shop in Harajuku). Added a glug of olive oil too.

The spiciest I've been this week is realizing the butter I got on promotion seems to be a bit more rich in milk fat than usual so I added half a tablespoon more to my wholemeal bread... And going ham on the rosemary. #MakanApaToday (also I have no balsamic vinegar so settled for pomegranate with olive oil)

Steamed buns (@pinoy|s call them "siopao", our adopted version of the bao buns) are popular snacks, or maybe a light meal in many parts of Asia.

In the #Philippines, the color marking on the bun is an extra indicator of the filling: red, yellow, or in this case green.

Are there "standard" color codes in your region? The one in the photo is their vegetarian version.

I don't miss working in rockwell but I do miss mornings at wildflour! i work from home* 95% of the time now, which has been amazing for my mental health. truly cannot even explain how much I love my work setup and my company right now. a lot has changed since I left ******. plus big things are happening in Q2!

*also: hotel, café, salon, vet's office, pet groomer, etc

japanese food before art in the park at salcedo! negitoro and buttered oysters at seryna (of course) then chotto matcha for dirty matcha and strawberry mochi (the bright red thing is strawberry syrup). chotto matcha in edoya is probably the most exciting café I've been to in a while, the range is exquisite.
