I'm used to working on relatively small datasets, so it's refreshing to work on a big one for a change!

For example, this shows all systematic associations among variables, as estimated with my model.

With such a big sample size, the problem is not whether an association will be detected but, rather, if the association is strong enough to matter. As you can see, there are only a few thick edges floating within a soup of much thinner ones. :)

I am a quantitative , striving to understand how changes in (and other factors) influence biological systems over various timescales. To this end, I employ a diverse set of approaches, such as comparative methods, , , & comparative .

My research to date has primarily focused on the and levels, but I am planning to soon expand to higher levels (species interactions, ).
