Sander Meijer<p>Every one has a guilty pleasure in his backpack. Something that is probably not really required, but just increases joy. My wife got me a new one: proper binoculars. During hikes I love to sit on a bench and just take in the landscape for a longer period of time. Lately I'm focussing on a-typical features on ridges etc. Zooming in with binoculars let's me check them in more detail. It lets one dream: "has anyone ever been up there".</p><p>My colleague showed me his Nikon Prostaff P7 10x42 and was blown away by the clarity and brightness (which is easy, as I'm not a pro in these matters and everything beats 30 euro binoculars). Played with it this morning at it turns out I can now clearly see the buildings on Schynige Platte and the Faulhorn from my A1 spot on the kitchen table. This is going to be fun!</p><p><a href="https://www.digitalcameraworld.com/reviews/nikon-prostaff-p7-10x42-review" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">digitalcameraworld.com/reviews</span><span class="invisible">/nikon-prostaff-p7-10x42-review</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mountains.social/tags/Binoculars" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Binoculars</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/Nikon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Nikon</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/Hiking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Hiking</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/Landscape" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Landscape</span></a> <a href="https://mountains.social/tags/Mountains" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Mountains</span></a></p>

J. Steven York RESISTS<p>I think I paid about $15 at a Goodwill for this pair of Sears, 7 x 50 binoculars on a whim to throw in my car.
