Video shows moments sold-out luxury condo building partially collapses in Niagara region

Home surveillance footage, captured by a #Welland resident who lives near the construction site, appears to show the moments before and during the partial collapse. The resident said they heard a “loud rumble” just after 7 p.m. on Saturday and saw a cloud of dust coming from the building.

No one was in the building at the time, but the collapse could be heard blocks away. Ministry of Labour is 'on it', but has anyone contacted Doug Ford's Ministry of Red Tape yet? It's actually pretty scary climbing the almost non existent steps to the top of Trinity Bridge in Crowland. It’s even more terrifying climbing down.

Perhaps next time we’ll go on a sunny day when I’m not afraid of slipping on soggy moss and breaking my leg.

Another wet day in the fenlands of Lincolnshire.

Trinity Bridge in Crowland is a 14th century triangular bridge that was built to cross the confluence of the River Nene and the Welland.

We begin our journey north in #Ontario, #Canada with the #Welland #mastodon (Mammut americanum) unearthed close to #NiagaraFalls and exhibited in the #RoyalOntarioMuseum. Like all #proboscideans - the group of #mammals that also includes #elephants - #mastodons had #tusks, but one is missing from this individual. The fact that the socket for its left tusk is closed suggests that this was a birth defect rather than the result of injury or disease.
