They say it is dry here because it hasn't rained for a while. Guess they are right. A steam engine went past and half the village is on fire.

Man sagt, es sei sehr trocken, es hat lange nicht mehr geregnet. Stimmt wohl. Eine Dampflok fuhr verbei und hat das halbe Dorf in Brand gesetzt.

Was gathering some info for a friend who wanted to do an easy, child-friendly but "real" mountain hike with the family. Have mentioned it before, but my absolute favorite is the hike to the Lobhornhütte. The hike is good for kids (and adults too!) as it is not too steep, long and has different characters. Playing at the stream and lake is of course a big bonus.

Wanted to check when the hut opens this year and found this just stunning picture on their website, taken last year by Hon Wing Liu when there were lots of opportunities to see the northern lights in Switzerland.

The answer was: they open May 5th 😉

A sleepover in style
