Located just south of the <a href="https://ecoevo.social/tags/Serengeti" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Serengeti</span></a>, the area has yielded <a href="https://ecoevo.social/tags/fossils" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>fossils</span></a> of everything from plants - such as <a href="https://ecoevo.social/tags/Acacia" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Acacia</span></a> mahengense - to <a href="https://ecoevo.social/tags/insects" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>insects</span></a> - like the <a href="https://ecoevo.social/tags/beetle" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>beetle</span></a> Mahengea (just named this year!) - to <a href="https://ecoevo.social/tags/mammals" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>mammals</span></a> - including the <a href="https://ecoevo.social/tags/bat" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>bat</span></a> Tanzanycteris - to Singidella, a <a href="https://ecoevo.social/tags/frog" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>frog</span></a> named for the nearby town of <a href="https://ecoevo.social/tags/Singida" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Singida</span></a>.</p>
