This is great news, although most years you'll get an odd pair of Roseate Terns nesting somewhere secret elsewhere in the UK, they don't always select the best places and rarely get chicks away. This pair nested on an extremely well protected site and fledged 2 chicks - will it become the UK's second stable colony for this species?
The best bit I think is that the site is so well protected, inaccessible, yet has great views from the nearby seawall, that they could be publicised and people could come see them without any disturbance or risk of egg-theft
the Roseate Tern LIFE project ran from 2015 - 2020 and helped increase the population of these birds in the UK and Ireland, you can read lots more about it here https://roseatetern.org/
