It's hard to take Food and Wine seriously when whoever's editing their video content doesn't know what carob fruit looks like.

@jmeowmeow I suppose someone's going to say I'm being a pedant, but the title of the magazine is "Food and Wine". Carob is a food. You should know what it looks like.

@ml I wonder if that picture is maybe a mango? Nothing like carob or locust.

@jmeowmeow Yes, it looks a lot like mango to me. If the leaves were easier to inspect in that shot, I would be able to be more sure.

@jmeowmeow Yeah, usually when I see mistakes, they're other Fabaceae species. And it makes it clear that people are just searching on "carob" in Google Images and not fact-checking (or doing clearance, usually).

@ml @jmeowmeow Half the time I see a news article about bees, it’s illustrated with a picture of a hoverfly, proving humans are about as bright as chickens.
