Drosera capensis (the Cape Sundew) is joining the flowering party. The small whitish flowers below the curved flower stalk of the sundew are from a species of terrestrial bladderwort.
@lentrichard ooh, that's a nice Sundew. I have one of the more spindly ones, and it's loving the vinegar fly infestation I'm dealing with
@lentrichard Always interesting how they flower, given they need insects to pollinate, but also insects to eat .
@static In many carnivorous plants the flower stalk is very long relative to the size of the rest of the plant, and this is thought to let insects pollinate the flowers without being consumed.
@lentrichard I was thinking of that. I know the Venus Fly-Trap does that.
