One thing that nags me in #CRPGs is to have party members with unique, usually basic, equipment.
Why does it bother me? Because the items are usually narratively cool, but usually, you find better stuff in less than a couple of hours 
For example, here are Eb's boots (#Tyranny). They are common quality, and you soon find better boots.
Better boots with no lore attached that look like generic boots if equipped (unlike the boots Eb already has, which also look unique when equipped).
