Given all the discussion (and dismay) about the newly released report, this article on the importance of and internal waves for the transport of heat and carbon in the world's oceans. Mentions of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) and size of internal waves (yes they can 500m tall) but most importantly about small-scale turbulent mixing (which is poorly documented) having a large-scale effect on climate.
